Biona Organic White Spelt Penne is sourced from one of the oldest cultivated grains, and an ancient cousin of wheat; spelt. Spelt is high in fibre, has a higher content of protein and vitamins than wheat and although not gluten free, is often tolerated by some people with wheat allergies.

A Definite Thumbs Up!

I remember Steve saying once you’ve tried Spelt pasta, you won’t want to go back to regular pasta, or something along those lines. I was waiting to run oit of my regular pasta before trying this one and I have to say, he’s right. The Penne was by far superior to others I’ve tried. It is lighter, tastes ‘cleaner’ and is not so heavy as Durum Wheat pasta and you dont feel bloated either.
